They monitor and challenge authoritarian regimes, state censorship, surveillance, and disinformation that threaten the public's right to know. These watchdogs expose abuses of power that restrict access to truthful, diverse, and independent information — a cornerstone of any free and democratic society.
To be unleashed is to act without fear, without compromise, and without restraints imposed by censorship, authoritarian control, or information blackouts. It is to resist silence and make space for truth.
Freedom of information and freedom of expression are not luxuries — they are non-negotiable foundations of any democratic society.
Yet across the globe, these freedoms are under constant attack. From state-controlled media and internet blackouts to the criminalization of dissent and the weaponization of surveillance, the right to access and share information is being systematically eroded.
At Watchdogs Unleashed, we defend these rights in principle — but act concretely against censorship, disinformation, and information suppression. Our work focuses on promoting free access to information, protecting channels of communication, and enabling the free exchange of ideas across borders and platforms.
